CE APPROVALS

APPROVAL SYSTEM

Vision Expo will not be responsible for courses that have not received accreditation.

Do not assume that the courses you registered for will be approved.

You will NOT receive credit if you are late.

Conferees must have at least 50 minutes of course instruction for every 60 minutes of course time to verify course attendance. The grace period is 10 minutes per course hour. If you are not in the course for the required amount of time, you will not receive CE credit. No exceptions. These accreditation guidelines will be strictly adhered to by Vision Expo.

Your badge bar code will have all your registered courses embedded in it. Your badge is required for admittance to each course. If you make any changes to your education registration after you print your badge onsite, you will need to get a new badge printed so that your current courses are embedded in your updated badge bar code for course entry.

After the conference, you will receive a letter via email verifying your course attendance. Please submit this letter to your state board / national accreditation agency for license renewal.

The Vision Expo East courses will be submitted to ABO, NCLE, COPE, AOA Paraoptometric Commission, NY State Board for Ophthalmic Dispensing, and all State Boards of Opticianry for consideration of Education Credit approval. Most State Boards of Optometry now accept COPE approved courses. For specific State Board of Optometry license rules and regulations pertaining to the COPE acceptance, Vision Expo recommends contacting your State Board directly. COPE approved courses are accredited in Canada.

The "pending education approval" courses listed are to serve as a guide to assist you with your course selections. These course listings are being submitted to the specified accrediting agencies for consideration of approval – if the course is NOT listed, it is NOT being submitted. Because courses fill up quickly, Vision Expo recommends you register early to secure your seat. Remember you always have the opportunity to change a course selection after you have registered by calling Client Services at 800-811-7151.

Course approvals will be updated periodically as approvals are received from the accrediting agencies. Please check back to see if currently "pending" courses have been approved. Course approval information will also be available on-site in the Education and Registration areas. Please contact Client Services at 800-811-7151 with any education accreditation questions.

Note: Only Optometrists and Opticians licensed in Florida must provide their license # when registering for Vision Expo continuing education courses.

Note: All Optometrists are required to provide their ARBO/OE Tracker # for COPE when registering for Vision Expo continuing education courses.

Note: All licensed professionals must provide their NPI # when registering for Vision Expo continuing education courses.

COURSE INFORMATION

COURSE HANDOUTS

Course handouts will be available for download on our website and on the Vision Expo Mobile App as they become available. To access the course handouts enter your registration ID and click the submit button.  Choose the handouts you would like to view/print by clicking on the pdf link for each course.

Note: Handouts are available for most of the courses.

If you wish to register for continuing education courses or make changes to your course selections onsite at the conference, we recommend you do so at least 2 hours in advance of your first course.

COURSE EVALUATIONS

We are making it even easier and more efficient for you to give us feedback. We have eliminated all paper evaluations so you don't waste valuable time onsite. Now you can complete your online evaluation when you login to receive your CE letter. Prior to downloading your CE letter, you will be prompted to evaluate each course you attended.

Be sure to complete your evaluations! The feedback you provide is incredibly important to our Conference Advisory Board as they look at content and speakers to include in future meetings and in order for us to provide you with the best education available, we need to understand what your needs are.

COURSE ADMITTANCE + ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION

COURSE ADMITTANCE

In an effort to improve the education registration process, conference badges will not be mailed. Please bring your confirmation letter with barcode onsite to Registration to have your badge and course itinerary printed when you arrive at the conference. This will ensure that you have the most up to date course information on your badge barcode and course itinerary, including room numbers.

Your badge barcode will have all of your registered courses embedded in it which is required for course entry. If you make any course changes onsite after you have already printed your badge, you will need to get a new badge printed so that your current courses are embedded in your updated badge barcode. Please note: Your badge will be scanned each time you enter/exit a course.

COURSE ATTENDANCE VERIFICATION

Vision Expo has made strides on improving the timeframe for verifying course attendance for education attendees. To expedite the process, you will now be able to access/complete electronic course evaluations in order to receive CE Attendance Letters onsite via the Vision Expo website and mobile app.

Please note: The Course Attendance Verification Letter will only include courses that you have successfully attended. Vision Expo will also email your CE Letter to you a few weeks after the conference. Be sure to provide an email address with your registration record so that your CE Letter can be emailed to you.  If you did not provide an email address when you registered, please call Client Services at 800-811-7151 to update your registration record. You should submit this letter to your state boards of optometry/opticianry and national accreditation agencies for license renewal.
