This course will cover both fundamental and advanced concepts of contemporary retina care, with an emphasis on recent diagnostic and management developments that improve quality of patient care. Disease entities that will be covered include diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, central serous chorioretinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, choroidal tumors, and inherited retinal dystrophies. For each disease condition diagnostic and management updates will be discussed including the utility of new instrumentation as well as recently FDA approved pharmaceutical agents and future management strategies under investigation.
