Optometry Student Career Workshop

Saturday, March 17, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Room 1E16
Presented by CovalentCareers + NewGradOptometry in collaboration with NYSOA and SUNY College of Optometry, this session will provide valuable in-person and take-home information, enhance your ability to find a job that aligns with your life goals, and provide fundamental knowledge to build upon prior to graduation. You’ll hear directly from 3 new graduate optometrists who will share what works and what doesn’t.

*Optometry students are invited to attend the Rockin' For New Eyes, the annual fundraiser for New Eyes for the Needy, as a guest of National Vision. RSVP for Rockin' for New Eyes here. A wristband and 2 drink tickets will be distributed at the end of the education session.

OPTImum Retail Awards

This new awards program celebrates independent boutique retailers by showcasing their products, storefronts, visions and most importantly – their stories.  The finalists are: Atelier Mira (Brooklyn, NY), Eye Q Stylist Opticians (Holetown, Barbados), Spex By Ryan (Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada) and Todd Rogers Eyewear (Andover, MA).

From February 16 to March 5, you can help choose the winner. To vote, as well as see the photos and stories of the finalists, click here

At Vision Expo East, hear the finalists share their stories and vision for their brand during a free Pop Up Talk in the Galleria Lounge (G280) on Friday, March 16, from 3:00 to 3:30 pm. The winner will be revealed during the Boutique Buyer VIP Event on Saturday, March 17, from 5-6:30 p.m.

Best Booth Contest

Winners Announced Sunday, March 18 at 4:00PM
For the first time at Vision Expo East, you can vote for your favorite exhibitor booths in two categories: MOST CREATIVE BOOTH DESIGN & BEST USE OF TECHNOLOGY. The exhibitor with the most attendee votes in each category will win sponsorship credits as well as social and other media coverage. Plus, one voter each day will win a prize. View Official Rules

Vision Choice Awards

Winners Announced Saturday, March 17 at 4:00 PM
Attendees can view entries and vote for the best new product featured in the Product Gallery as part of the Vision Choice Awards. Votes can be cast by ballot throughout the show and all those who vote will be automatically entered to win a $500 exhibit hall shopping spree. Voting ends at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 17
